We prepare students for the NIFT entrance exam — CAT, GAT, Situation Test, Portfolio and Interview — with personal mentorship, small batches and 15 years of results.
The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is India’s premier institution for fashion design, textile design, fashion management and related programs. With campuses across 18 cities, NIFT is the most competitive fashion entrance exam in the country.
Admission to NIFT’s B.Des programs is through a multi-stage process. The first stage is a written exam consisting of two papers: the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and the General Ability Test (GAT). These are held together in a single day, typically in January or February.
The CAT is a drawing-based creative paper that tests visualisation, sketching, communicating ideas visually and creative thinking under time pressure. The GAT tests English, quantitative aptitude, analytical and logical reasoning, and current affairs.
Shortlisted candidates are called for the Situation Test — the second stage. Candidates are given raw materials and asked to construct a 3D model within two hours. Final admission is based on a weighted score of CAT, GAT and Situation Test. PG programs also include a GD and Personal Interview.
NIFT tests creativity, aptitude and hands-on making. Our program builds all three from the ground up — no prior fashion or drawing background needed.

NIFT does not require a specific subject stream. Science, Commerce and Humanities students are all equally eligible.
No prior drawing or fashion experience is required. We train from the basics.
NIFT graduates work with names like Sabyasachi, H&M, Zara, Reliance Brands, Amazon, Tommy Hilfiger, Myntra and Nykaa Fashion.
Career paths include Fashion Designer, Textile Designer, Visual Merchandiser, Fashion Buyer, Stylist, Knitwear Designer, Accessory Designer and Retail Designer.
Many NIFT graduates go on to launch their own labels, studios or consultancies.
